Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2004, at Salem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud for Robert P. Molin, age 78, of 150 Meadow Dr., who died Thursday at Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Pastor Irven Nelson will officiate and burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Sunday at Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church.
Robert was born Aug. 25, 1925, in Brunswick, Minn., to Paul and Hazel (Snyder) Molin. He married Ethyln Steckelberg in 1945 in Ogilvie, and she died in 1947. He married Virginia Strobel on Jan. 14, 1950, in Brainerd. They have lived in Sartell since 1974, and prior to that, lived in Little Falls and Brainerd. Robert was a meat cutter and manager for Schaefer's Grocery and Meats in Brainerd and Little Falls from 1950-1978. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. Robert loved being with family and friends, and especially enjoyed fishing and camping with them.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia of Sartell; children and spouses, David and Linda Molin of Jackson, Calif., Judith and Neil Hegstrom of Burtrum, Robert Jr. and Jan Molin of Loomis, Calif., Cynthia and Dean Morrison of Ione, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Julie Molin of Jackson, Calif.; brothers, sister, and spouses, Wayne and Helen Molin of Minneapolis, Delores and Tom Sawyer of Motley, and William Molin of Neillsville, Wis.; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Ethyln; son, Brian, brothers, Douglas and Earl; sisters-in-law, Lania and Donna Molin.
