There are a large number of military veterans who aren't eligible for membership in most veterans service organizations due to the dates they served in the armed forces.
Membership in American Veterans, in recognition of the sacrifices made by all veterans and service personnel, is open to anyone who is currently serving or who has honorably served in the armed forces of the United States, to include National Guard and Reserve components. Membership is also open to any American citizen who served in the armed forces of an allied nation of the United States.
AMVETS Post 26 is seeking new members who would be interested in joining a veterans service organization with plenty of potential for growth. A meeting will take place at Brainerd American Legion Post 255 on Tuesday, June 20 at 7 p.m. All interested veterans, active duty military personnel, and members of the National Guard and Reserves are invited to attend. We look forward to seeing you there.
