'DULUTH (AP) -- Superior National Forest officials have eased some campfire restrictions in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area because of recent rain.

Campfires will now be allowed between 7 p.m. and midnight in the blowdown area of the forest, including parts of the BWCA.

Propane and gas stoves are allowed at any hour.

Campers in four campgrounds on the upper Gunflint Trail now may have campfires, charcoal fires and wood-burning stoves any time.
