The Crow Wing County DFL will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Northwest Pizza and Bagel on Washington Street in Brainerd. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. with Kathy Hegstrom giving a brief presentation on current education issues facing our party and state. WHS Class of 1940
The Washington High School class of 1940 will meet at noon Tuesday at Embers. Plans will be made for the 60th reunion to be held in September. All members and their spouses are urged to attend.
Installation of new officers
The Post and the Auxiliary will install their newly elected officers at 7 p.m. Monday. Following the installing, there will be a short executive committee meeting with the old executive committee members and the new incoming members.
The Brainerd Legion Auxiliary will serve chicken salad on muskmelon, bread stick, dessert and beverage for $3.50. Hours are between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Call-in orders are welcomed.
