STAPLES -- Seven search warrants were executed in Staples Thursday morning, with 15 people were arrested and taken into custody, according to the Todd County Sheriff's Department.
The raid was the result of a four-month undercover investigation by narcotics officers, who purchased over $13,000 worth of narcotics.
Charges against 13 of the arrested persons are pending for first degree sale of narcotics. Recovered were a firearm, some cash, two marijuana plants and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. All suspects are being held at the Todd County Detention Center pending appearances in Todd County District Court.
The Wadena County Sheriff's Department, Staples Police Department, State Patrol, Wadena County Sheriff's Department Tactical Unit, West Central Drug Task Force, Net IV Drug Task Force, Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force and DEA Enforcement also participated in executing the search warrants.
