The Crow Wing County Boat and Water Safety responded to a boating accident on North Long Lake near Sullivan's Resort Friday around 11 a.m. which resulted in one person injured.
Sheriff's Deputy James Guida, reported that while one boat was drifting, another boat struck it at a speed of about 25-30 miles per hour. One man thrown off the drifting boat suffered minor injuries. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Brainerd.
Guida said everyone but the man thrown was wearing life jackets. However, when the man was in the water someone threw him a life jacket.
Guida said no alcohol was involved. There is a pending charge against the driver of the boat that hit the drifting boat for careless operation. No names have been released.
