The Brainerd Regional Human Services Center's Administration Building was dedicated in Harold Peterson's name at the center's 30th anniversary celebration. Harold Peterson was the hospital's first director in Brainerd.

One-way traffic on Laurel Street will end shortly after July 1, the city council decided. The council also authorized part of Laurel Street property which will provide a parking lot for about 22 cars.

Brainerd's first attempt to make rain with dry ice was carried out today. According to Bert Garrett 50 pounds of dry ice were dropped over the city and the airport this afternoon. Heading the farmers in this experiment was Kermit Thiesse, dairyman.

Lake Region conventions have a bearing on Brainerd in so far as Brainerd serves as the gateway to the lake region and tours assemble here. Resorts and cottages regard Brainerd as their central supply point.

Welcome Eagles to Brainerd. The state convention of the Fraternal Order of Eagles is now on in Brainerd. The town is putting on a gala dress in honor of the coming of the visitors.
