The Baxter 10-U traveling team won the Brainerd tournament the weekend of June 9-10.
Baxter won four of five games, defeating Buffalo 5-2 and Brainerd 10-0 in four innings.
Prior Lake beat Baxter 3-1 before Baxter defeated Buffalo again, 6-1.

In the championship game, Baxter edged Prior Lake 3-2 for the title. Kyler Kennedy hit a solo home run in the second inning to tie the game 1-1. Adam Fischer scored in the second on a hit by Luke West. Tory Miller scored in the fourth following hits by Sam Schutt and Kennedy.
Baxter's defense included a few diving catches and double plays. In five games, Baxter pitchers allowed only 11 hits and struck out 30, eight in the championship game.
