Chalmer A. Hagberg

Chalmer A. Hagberg, age 88, of Brainerd, formerly of Duluth, died on May 31, 2007, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. He was born on Dec. 7, 1918, in Brainerd to Arthur and Maude (Hammett) Hagberg.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte "Lottie;" four sons, David Hawks, of Duluth, Gordon (Nancy) Hawks, of Boise, Idaho, Darrell "Wyatt" Hawks, of Duluth, Chuck (Penny) Hagberg, of Duluth; four daughters, Joanne (Dan) Cory, of Deerwood, Wendy Hawks, of Westbrook, Maine, Kathi (Barry) Forseth, of Duluth, Joann (Gordy) Halvorsen, of Duluth; two brothers, Arthur (Emily) Hagberg, of Spokane, Wash., Richard Hagberg, of Silver Bay; a sister, Nell Karsten, of Brainerd; 12 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Chummie Hagberg; a daughter, Susan Cohn; two brothers, Conrad and Jerry Hagberg.

Services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2007, at the Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Nokay Lake Township. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
