Favorite Bethany activity: "Bingo. I sometimes win. We win apples, oranges, bananas or cookies or other treats."
Childhood memory: "My mother, two brothers and I would walk to the cemetery and she'd sit between her mother's and brother's tombstones. Us kids would jump over the tombstones. We had a lot of fun. I never realized until I was much older how sad my mother was over her mother's death. She died of natural causes at age 62 and her brother died when he was 22 of TB (tuberculosis.)."

What was your main job in your life: "I was a nurse's aide and I also owned a cafe for seven years in Nashwauk, where I grew up."
A goal you want to accomplish in your life: "I want to walk out of here and go on with my life. I'll walk out those doors and never look back. I had a stroke three years ago and my left side doesn't work.
Favorite author: E.B. White.
Most outrageous thing you did in your life: "My friend and I who were friends since we were 17 - she wanted to use her dad's car. We pushed it out of the garage and we accidentally broke a window. We hid because we thought her parents saw us, but we never got caught. They blamed the weather on the window being broken. We told them years later about what we did. They weren't too happy. Later on in life though you think we really could have been in trouble."
Favorite music: Christian music.
Greatest achievement: "My three adopted daughters are my greatest achievement."
