AITKIN -- Brandon Craig Siemers, age 22, of Aitkin, died Sunday, June 13, 2004, as the result of an automobile accident near Glen, Minn.
He was born Feb. 9, 1982, in Rochester, Minn., the son of Craig and Julie (Roehl) Siemers. He lived in Rosemount, Minn., and attended school there until moving with his family to Aitkin in 1994. He attended schools in Aitkin, graduating from the Aitkin High School in 2000. While in school he was active in football, basketball, choir and the musicals. He has worked in the Aitkin area since his graduation. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin.
He is survived by his parents, Craig and Julie Siemers, of Aitkin; one brother, Adam Siemers, of Aitkin; grandparents, Dale and Mary Siemers of Milaca, Minn., Hank and Edna Roehl of Milaca; great-grandmother, Emma Siemers, of Milaca; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 17, 2004, at 11 a.m. from St. James Catholic Church in Aitkin. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. at the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services at the church. Burial will be in the Diamond Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Aitkin Dollars for Scholars or the Aitkin school basketball program. Arrangements are with the Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home.
