A new parenting class for first-time Dads has been launched in the Brainerd lakes area.
Boot Camp for New Dads is a nationally licensed program designed to give expectant fathers a place to learn from experienced fathers. It provides a relaxed environment for expectant dads to get more informed about personal care of their babies and find out about community resources.
It is a one, three-hour class that is for men and facilitated by men. The class is free and meets at St. Joseph's Medical Center. Upcoming classes will be 6-9 p.m. July 22, 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 23, 6-9 p.m. Sept. 23, 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 25 and 6-9 p.m. Nov. 18.
Boot Camp for New Dads is offered by the Brainerd Lakes Area Early Childhood Coalition in partnership with St. Joseph's Medical Center.
