MOTLEY - A 24-year-old Motley man suffered gunshot wounds to both legs Thursday after he was allegedly shot once with a .22 caliber rifle by his mother, Cass County authorities reported Friday.
Cass County authorities were called to a domestic altercation at a rural Motley residence around 3:40 p.m. Thursday.
Deputies found the victim, Nathan Kist, 24, Motley, who had gunshot wounds to both legs, at a neighbor's home.
The victim's mother, Donnell M. Kist, 41, Motley, told deputies she had discharged the rifle in the direction of her son. She was arrested and is being held in the Cass County Jail pending formal charges.
