Weekend fly-in to bring planes to Brainerd
Vintage planes are among the hundreds expected during the weekend fly-in at the Brainerd-Crow Wing County Regional Airport.
The airport, General Aviation and the Wings Airport Cafe will host the public event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Northern Tin Street Rod Association collection will be on display Sunday afternoon.
Airmotive Enterprises will offer discount price air rides and experienced information on flight training. A P-51 Mustang is expected to arrive among 400 airplanes. Planes will be available for tours on both days. Planes are expected from across the state.
Admission is free.
Bloodmobile slated in July in Brainerd
The American Red Cross is encouraging people to add blood donation to their list of activities during the July 4th American Celebration.
The Red Cross will collect blood from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 5 in the Thabes Room at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. The Red Cross has set a goal to collect 40 pints of blood at St. Joseph's, Red Cross spokesman Jon Siess said.
Blood donors must be at least age 17, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.

Family Law Clinic scheduled June 26
A Crow Wing County Family Law Clinic will be 7 to 9 p.m. June 26 in the Crow Wing County Services Building.
A panel will answer general questions on child support, parenting time, divorce/separation, paternity, custody and mediation. Panel members will include a child support magistrate, a district court judge, assistant county attorney, private attorneys, legal aid staff and a parenting time mediator.
In addition to addressing legal issues and providing information on resources, the clinic is designed to encourage communication between parents, the child support office and other community resources.
