A fan bus to the Brainerd Warriors baseball game against Elk River in the Class 3A state tournament will leave 9 a.m. Thursday from the south doors at Brainerd High School.

Armstrong, Prior Lake win titles
Armstrong won the National Baseball Congress "Hap Dumont" 13 and under baseball tournament Sunday in Brainerd while Prior Lake claimed the 11 and under title.
Armstrong suffered an 11-3 loss against Brainerd in the opening round but battled through the losers' bracket to reach the championship. New Prague defeated Brainerd 11-7 in the semifinals and Armstrong eliminated Brainerd 9-5. Armstrong then defeated New Prague 7-4 and 10-3 in the championship bracket.
In the 11 and under tournament Prior Lake tripped Champlain 20-5 in the semifinal. Champlain downed Armstrong 13-2 in the losers' bracket but lost to Prior Lake 10-4 in the championship.
Flag Day at Gulls game Wednesday
The Brainerd Mighty Gulls will host U.S. Army Flag Day at Wednesday's Northwoods League baseball game against the Rochester Honkers at Mills Field.
The first 1,000 fans will receive a mini flag, courtesy of the Brainerd U.S. Army Recruiting Station.

Twins tryout camp June 19-20
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Twins' annual tryout camp will be conducted June 19-20 at the Metrodome.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., June 19, outside Gate H, with drills getting under way at 9 a.m. and continuing throughout the day. At the conclusion of their first day, selected players will be invited to return to the Metrodome June 20 for a second day of intrasquad games.
Anyone eligible to sign a professional contract may register, but players must be high school graduates who have not previously been drafted and they must not fall under the restriction of the baseball-college agreement.
Participants should bring their own gloves and shoes, with the Twins providing bats and balls. It is recommended that players provide their own lunch both days.
The camp is conducted by the Twins player development staff. Also on hand will be Twins legend Tony Oliva.
Atlanta Braves tryout camp scheduled
The Atlanta Braves will conduct a tryout camp 9 a.m. June 29 at Legion Field in Fergus Falls.
The camp, under the direction of Braves Midwestern Scout Stu Cann, is for boys ages 15-22. Players should bring glove, shoes, and workout clothing, with the Braves providing the remainder of the equipment.
Players involved in American Legion programs should bring a note from their coach or post commander giving approval for participation in the camp.
