MINNEAPOLIS (AP) --The Minnesota Twins signed five more picks from last week's amateur draft.
Signed Monday were outfielder James Tomlin, a seventh-round choice; outfielder Jason Kubel, a 12th-round choice; Thomas Sullivan, a lefthanded pitcher taken in the 29th round; infielder Greg Stokes, a 35th-round choice; and catcher Dan DeCola, a 16th-round pick.
DeCola will report to Elizabethton in the rookie level Appalachian League, while the other four went to the Twins' rookie level Gulf Coast League team in Fort Myers, Fla.
The club also signed free agent righthanded pitcher Brian Gerlach and assigned him to the Gulf Coast League team.
Minnesota has now signed 14 of the 52 players drafted last week.
