BEMIDJI -- Brainerd Bees starting pitcher Aaron Jenkins suffered his first loss in a disappointing fashion.

The former Brainerd Warriors and current Central Lakes College Raiders pitcher walked the eventual winning run in the first inning. The runner moved to second on a wild pitch, then was bunted to third. He later scored on a sacrifice fly for a 1-0 Bemidji victory in amateur baseball Thursday.

Jenkins pitched eight innings allowing four hits and four walks. He hit one batter and struck out four to move to 3-1.

Nate Thomas and Mike Germain both finished 2-for-4 for Brainerd and Tim Martin was 2-3.

The Bees, who were held to seven hits, move to 6-2 overall and host St. Joseph 7 p.m. Sunday at Don Adamson Field.
