OLIVIA -- Mary Ann M. Eischens, 77, Olivia, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at her home.
She was born April 5, 1926, in Bird Island to Joseph and Johanna (Dover) Groebner. She attended country school at rural Bird Island and later worked in Minneapolis for a couple of years. She married Raymond J. Eischens on Nov. 24, 1948, in Albuquerque, N.M. They lived in rural Olivia until 1961 when they moved into town. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the CCW, as well as a Catholic Aid member.
Survivors included two daughters, Judy LaTour, Nisswa, and Mary Jo Eischens, Waynesboro, Tenn.; eight sons, Brad Eischens, San Antonio, Al, Brian and John Eischens, all of Olivia, Dan Eischens, Baxter, David Eischens, DuBoise, Wyo., Tom Eischens, Montgomery, and Bob Eischens, Mankato; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, who died Oct. 29, 1983; seven sisters; and two brothers died earlier.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia with the Rev. Paul van de Crommert officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
