BACKUS -- Charles Ruhl, 79, Backus, died Saturday, June 10, 2000, at home.
He was born Aug. 4, 1920, in Pine River to John and Francis (Vogt) Ruhl.
Survivors include three sons, Joel Ruhl, Whipholt, Mark Ruhl, Honolulu, and Stephen Ruhl, Backus; a daughter, Carol Millar, Yuba City, Calif.; four grandchildren; six brothers, John Ruhl, Coon Rapids, Ray Ruhl, Backus, Robert Ruhl, California, Franklin Ruhl, Coon Rapids, Milo Ruhl, Brainerd, and William Ruhl, Dallas, Texas; and six sisters, Genevive Peters, Washington, Doris Bourassa, Brainerd, Mary Jane Manos, Minneapolis, Francis Stowman, Bloomington, Delores Genosky, Columbia Heights, and Geraldine Dopkins, Bloomington.
His wife, Norma, and a sister, Anna Hoeft, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Backus with the Rev. Raymond Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery of Backus.
Friends may call an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home of Pine River.
