Over the weekend Brainerd Dispatch staff members drained the life blood out of their old building and infused it into their new one. And no one looked back. Tons of equipment made the move in 72 hours without a major glitch, and this edition was produced.

General plans for a new terminal at the Brainerd - Crow Wing County Airport were approved by the airport commission. The $1.2 million terminal will be about 10,000 square feet. The current terminal building is only 2,000 square feet.

Jim Rabehl, former assistant county agent here, has been named Crow Wing County agricultural extension agent, replacing the resigning Dave Hassinger. Rabehl was assistant here in 1961-65, before taking the agent's position in Scott County.
60 years ago (1950)
One hundred dollars reward has been offered by John Underwater, St. Mathias Township, for information about the person who dug up $3,500 on his farm. Underwater said the money had been buried in two locations since 1938. Sheriff Wicklund has clues.
80 years ago (1930)
Three hold-ups in Crow Wing County were solved today with the arrest of Jack Pollock and Earl Horn. They had robbed the Gustafson-Nelson store and Joe Gustafson chased them in his own car, braving a rain of bullets to force the bandit car over the curb.
100 years ago (1910)
Supt. J.P. Anderson of the Northern Pacific shops will umpire the game of his life today at Koering Field. Reliable men say this game, which pits the married men's team against the single men's team, may be the greatest baseball game in the history of the shops.
