He finished with 39.02 pounds.
Myron Sylte, Williston, N.D., finished second with 33.84 pounds after bringing 11 fish to the scales and Daryl Christensen, Montello, Wis., finished third with 32.25 pounds after weighing 13 fish, providing two examples of how the Law of the Limit cannot be bypassed.
Among local pros at the tournament, Perry Good, Brainerd, continued his trek down the comeback trail. After a disappointing 2004 campaign, Good has managed to cash a check in each of the PWT's first three tournaments this year. At Lake Cumberland he was 22nd with 21.18 pounds, good for $2,550. Paul Meleen, Isle, was 35th with 14.91 pounds ($1,550), Gary Roach, Merrifield, was 64th with 8.96 pounds and Steve Fellegy, Aitkin, was 88th with 3.84 pounds.
Big fish for the tournament was caught by Chase Parsons, Appleton, Wis., who landed a 5.50-pounder on Day Three.
