AITKIN -- Vivian M. Holm, 82, Aitkin, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.
She was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Renville County to Julius and Lena (Ehlers) Lehrke. She moved to the Welsh Rance in Waukenabo Township in Aitkin County. She attended country schools in Bain and Waukenabo. She married Marius Holm on Dec. 30, 1935, in Aitkin. They farmed in Waukenabo Township for more than 60 years. She moved to Aitkin in 1997 and then to the nursing home in November 2001. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Aitkin, the Waukenabo Homemakers and the Up North Bible study group.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Backstrom, Aitkin, and Karleen Bleeker, Aitkin; a son, Dale Holm, Corcoran; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Stewart Lehrke and Eldean Lehrke, both of Aitkin.
Her husband, a daughter, Jeanette Landrus, a grandson, two brothers, Reinhold and Donald, and a sister, Lillian Landrus, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Aitkin with the Rev. Henry Koopman officiating. Burial will be in Waukenabo Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin and an hour before services Thursday at the church.
