BAXTER -- About 3,000 Crow Wing Power customers lost electricity Monday after a storm damaged two substations.
Lee Heurung, operations coordinator with Crow Wing Power, said today that between 10 p.m. to midnight people in southern Baxter and northern Crow Wing Township lost power after substations in those areas were damaged.
What specifically damaged the substations was unknown, Heurung said, but it was storm related.
Power was restored at 1:05 a.m.
Mark Mortensen, program forester with the DNR, said the Brainerd-Baxter area received about 0.031 of an inch of rain.
Mortensen also said his station recorded a top wind of 22 mph Monday.
Airbag safety training set Thursday
Airbag safety training for emergency professionals is set from 6-10 p.m. Thursday at The Body Works in Baxter.
