Buckman hands Pierz Brewers first loss
Scott Geiger, Dave Woitalla, Peter Herman and Mark Cekalla hit home runs for the Buckman Billygoats in a 13-3 Victory League amateur baseball win over the Pierz Brewers Sunday.
Geiger was 2-for-3 with two sacrifices, four RBI and a triple. He also was the winning pitcher. He struck out three, walked three, gave up 12 hits and three runs in seven innings.
Woitalla had two hits and an RBI. Chris Hoheisel was 3-for-5 with an RBI, Herman had two hits and two RBI, Mark Cekalla had three RBI and Matt Bauer and Paul Cekalla each had two hits for Buckman.
Pierz's Greg Pohlkamp was 3-for-4 with a double, triple and RBI. Matt Bower, Joey Tautges and Scott Kimman each had two hits for the Brewers.

Lastrup 18, Swanville 8
Swanville -- Reggie Litke was 5-for-7 and Jamie Litke 4-for-6 to lead the Lastrup Spurs to an 18-8 win over the Swanville Heat Sunday.
Paul Jenkins and Sev Poser each had two hits for the Spurs. Jason Gross pitched eight innings to get the win. He gave up seven runs, eight hits, walked four and struck out 12.

Randall 5, St. Stephen 4
RANDALL -- Jason Karnowski hit a game-winning home run in the bottom of the 11th to lift the Randall Cubs past St. Stephen 5-4 Sunday.
Randall starter Tom Zak went 9 2/3 innings. Dan Strack got the win in 1 1/3 innings in relief.
Karnowski finished 3-for-5 with four RBI. Strack was 2-for-4 with a double.

Brad Heitzman had three hits and Dale Strait two to lead St. Wendel past Fort Ripley 9-5 Sunday.

AVON -- Bobby Sanders and Jason Peterschick each had three hits and an RBI to lead the Randall Cubs past the Avon Lakers 6-3 Saturday. Nick Pierzynski added two doubles and an RBI for the Cubs.
Jason King pitched a complete game for Randall.

UPSALA -- Gerrard Kimman was 4-for-5 with an RBI to help the Pierz Brewers past the Upsala Bluejays 11-4 Saturday.
Joey Tautges was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI, Alvin Kimman was 2-for-6 with two RBI and Greg Pohlkamp 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI for Pierz.
Winning pitcher Chad Weiss went 6 1/3 innings, gave up six hits, four runs, struck out five and walked four.

LASTRUP -- Jody Andrea and Dave Rocheleau each hit home runs and Dan Rocheleau was 3-for-5 to lead the Pierz Bulldogs to a 15-11 win over the Lastrup Spurs Saturday.
Jamie Litke was 2-for-4 with a home run, Gabe Stott was 4-for-4 with a three-run homer and Aaron Jenkins was 2-for-2 for Lastrup.

The Brainerd Braves defeated St. Mathias 16-3 Friday at Adamson Field in the first round of the St. Mathias tournament.
Chris Studer was 4-for-4 with a double, Tim Siekas was 3-for-4, Nick Weiland 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs and five RBI and Mike Bjerkness was 2-for-3 with two runs for the Braves.
