Author speaking at library on the South

Posted: Thursday, June 10, 2004

The novel is a memoir of a Minnesota woman who discovers her family has ties to several infamous murders from 40 years ago in the South. It is the story of her dawning realizations and her struggle between family loyalty and a sense of justice. Library Journal calls the book "a compelling history of the 1960s South from the inside out" while Booklist calls it "a painful and revealing look at family and racial attitudes."
