Steady rain showers postponed the action and the Relay for Life cancer awareness night presented by Advanced Diesel Saturday night at North Central Speedway in Barrows.
The event will be rescheduled for later this season.
Many big events are scheduled throughout June at the 2006 Wissota Track of the year.
They include:
• A June 13 visit from the new Upper Midwest Sprint Car Series, presented by Noble Wear. This will mark the first of four events this season for the wild, winged 360 Warriors.
• June 17 will see a special Wednesday night, first-ever visit by the World Dirt League Late Model Series. Many of the top teams in the Midwest will vie for a shot at the $5,000 top prize. Also racing with the ground-pounding WDRL Late Models will be many of the best Wissota Modified and Street Stock teams, who will be competing for the $1,000 prize awarded to each feature winner.
• June 20 will be presented by Crow Wing Power and all 43,000 CWP members will be admitted for $5. Each member will be treated to a free hot dog and soda as well as Wissota Amsoil Dirt Racing series action and a daredevil stunt by "Wildman" Clay Gallagher during intermission.
• June ends with another first for the Brainerd area when NCS hosts two days of "Thunderslam" Monster Truck Destruction June 26 and June 28. Help from Mills Ford, The Body Works, Quick Lane Tire and Auto, as well as Donahue Harley Davidson, will allow fans to witness the world famous Bigfoot and many other top Monster Trucks crushing and jumping over everything in their path.
Thunderslam attendees will also be wowed by the AMP Live Events Motocross back-flipping stunt team as well as a dirt racing exhibition.
