Thanks to the more than 200 volunteers, and the generosity of the community-at-large, 415 Brainerd High School 2002 Graduates enjoyed a supervised and memorable chemical-free night of fun and fellowship at Grad Blast 2002.
Without their generosity in giving of their time, merchandise, and financial contributions, BHS Grad Blast 2002 would not have been possible.
My personal thanks to the 20 planning committee members. Anyone wishing to contribute to Grad Blast, or become a committee co-chair, call Sherri DeLaHunt at 963-2699.
Hats off to all who helped! Mark your calendars for Grad Blast 2003, Thursday, May 29, 2003. Hope to see you there.

By the grace of God another month of service here at Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen has come and gone. In April we served a total of 912 meals over 26 days of service. This means our daily average of meals served was 35.
Thanks again to all of our volunteers and to those who brought in food donations last month. These include That Place on 8th, St. Francis Church, Chapparal Restaurant, Cursillo (Duluth Diocese), the family of Walter Bemis, Moose lodge, City of Baxter, American Legion, Glenn Suess, Salem Lutheran of Deerwood, and Nanci Paulson.
Thanks are due also to the Brainerd Sports Boosters who have held their weekly meetings here at the Soup Kitchen throughout the school Year. This has been an effective fundraiser for the Soup Kitchen and we appreciate their support. They have generously set aside a sum of money for renovating our entryway, including a new screen door. Thanks for your help!
