Sally Ihne, president of Central Lakes College, was listed in fair condition this morning in the intensive care unit of St. Joseph's Medical Center, following an apparent heart attack.
Ray Gildow, vice president, said today he believed Ihne was at home Thursday night when she experienced pains and was taken to the hospital.
His understanding was that she was feeling better today.
Ihne, head of the college with campuses in Brainerd and Staples, is set to retire Aug. 14.
She accepted the post of provost at then-Brainerd Community College in 1983 and later was named president of the Clearwater Community Region.
