New-student scholarship available for limited time at CLC

Central Lakes College in Brainerd and Staples is offering a $500 scholarship to any eligible new student who enrolls only during the week of June 12-16.

This novel approach comes from the CLC Foundation, which has already announced it will provide $150,000 through 250 scholarships to CLC students from 75 Minnesota communities for the 2000-2001 academic year.

"These $500 scholarships are available only for new students who come to the campus in Brainerd this week to enroll in any of our 50 career technology programs," said Roy Androli, a CLC counselor.

To receive the scholarship, a new student should fill out the applications for enrollment and for a Foundation scholarship, both available from Rose Tretter in the admissions office. For information, call her at 855-8037 (toll-free 1-800-933-0346).
