Pinto jersey distribution Tuesday
Brainerd Parks and Recreation is requesting that the Washington Pinto program that was canceled June 5 due to rain, please get to the fields by 5 p.m. Tuesday to receive team jerseys and schedules.
Team pictures will be taken and the season's first games will be played that night.
Pierz baseball holds banquet
The Pierz Pioneers baseball team finished with a 13-7 overall and 12-2 Central Minnesota Conference record.
Earning all-conference honors were Josh Boser, Scott Janson, Michael Weber and Mark Kahl.
Second team all-conference awards went to Matt Woitalla, Jordan Przybilla, Alex Leach and Corey Egan.
Weber, Przybilla, Travis Kahl, Tyler Monson and Zach Pohlkamp earned all-conference academic honors.
Boser finished with the team's best ERA and was voted the defensive player of the year. Weber had the best batting average and was voted the most valuable player.
Jordan Przybilla was the practice player of the year. Dylan Kummet was the C-squad MVP and Travis Kahl was the junior varsity MVP.
