The Brainerd Legion baseball team swept Pierz in a doubleheader at Don Adamson Field 4-2 and 4-3 Wednesday.
Brainerd's Drew Boland led the offensive charge in the first game by going 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Chris Klabo, Aaron Jenkins and Mark Germaine all had singles.
Chad Weiss picked up the win by allowing two earned runs on four hits through four innings. Kevin Mertens got the save with three shutout innings that included seven strikeouts.
A four-run first inning held up for Brainerd in the second game. Brad Gangestad had a bases-loaded double off the fence in center field to score three runs and Jenkins walked with the bases loaded. Jason Sather and Ryan Browning had Brainerd's other two hits.
