Pastor installed
Pastor Chris Hill was installed as pastor of Light of the Cross Lutheran Church of Garrison on June 2. Bishop Peter Strommen officiated at the ceremony during Sunday morning service. A potluck lunch followed the service.
Hill, his wife, Sandy, and their children, Gary, 14, and Hannah, almost 12, moved to the Garrison area from Pelican Rapids, where he served for 13 years at Grove Lake Lutheran Church.
Hill likes to preach and teach with a clear Biblical message. He is interested in reaching out to young adults and young families in this area, listening to their concerns and ministering to their needs as they meet the challenges of life.
In his time off from church work, Hill enjoys any kind of outdoor activities, camping, golfing, skiing of any kind, reading and activities with his family.
