While the Brainerd Area Art Club eighth annual Spring Expose' is still on display until June 16 at the Crow Wing County Historical Society, Bela Petheo has determined the first, second and merit awards in six categories.
Petheo will present the awards and a presentation of his work at a banquet on June 16 following the "Non-Tent Tent Sale" which is the closing day of the Expose.'
In "Opaque," first place, Pat Heinen; second, Karen Stout Heller, and merit to Kasey Westra.
In "Watercolor," first place, Pam Collins; second, Kris Domier, and merit to Pam Collins.
In "Graphite," first place, Carroll DuBeau; second, Lynda Converse and merit to Carroll Dubeau.
In "Photography," first place, Jean Dressel; second, Cindy Fontaine, and merit to Brenda Kay Murray-Pfeffer.
In "Mixed Media," first place, Chris Smieja; second place, Evelyn Matthies, and merit to Nancy Williams.
In "3-Dimensional," first place, Tom Larson; second, Haddie Hadachek, and merit to Ruth Anderson.
"Best of the Show" for the 2001 Spring Expose' went to Haddie Hadachek.
The "People's Choice" Award will be announced at 3 p.m. June 16 following the "Non-Tent Tent Sale." Those attending the exhibit, co-sponsored by the Brainerd Area Art Club and the Crow Wing County Historical, will be able to vote for "People's Choice" throughout the entire Expose' which closes on the 16th.
The Expose' is on exhibit at the Crow Wing County Historical Society in Brainerd. The sale is from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on June 16. The awards banquet will be 5 p.m. June 15 at the Front Street Cafe in Brainerd.
