Kelli Patrick, daughter of Tom and Lisa Patrick, Brainerd, was accepted at Alexandria Technical College. She is a 2005 graduate of Brainerd High School and is enrolled in the interior design program.

LITTLE FALLS -- The State Patrol was called at 1:11 a.m. Saturday to a one-vehicle crash on Highway 10, just north of Little Falls.

THEFT -- The Oasis Spa, rural Staples, Thursday reported the theft of a six-place bath spa valued at $4,300.

Countless hours of planning went down the drain Saturday night when the Brainerd Blue Thunder's scheduled home opener against Alexandria was rained out.

On the trail again
Cyclists led by U.S. Congressman Jim Oberstar rode on one of the Baxter trails Sunday before ending their "Ride with Jim" ride at Forestview Middle School in Baxter. The ride, which originated at the Northland Arboretum, followed the Paul Bunyan Trail to Baxter.

MINNETONKA -- Sophia C. Anderson, 93-year-old resident of Minnetonka, Minn., and formerly of Upsala, Minn., passed away Friday, June 3, 2005, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minn. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 6, at the Community Covenant Church in Upsala.
