Leahnette A. Lindholm

Leahnette A. Lindholm, 82, Brainerd, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.

She was born Dec. 2, 1919, in Delano to Elmer and Anna (Mutterer) Johnson. She grew up on her parents' farm near Delano and attended school in Delano. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Delano. She attended St. Cloud State Teachers College and graduated with a degree in elementary education. She taught in the Redwood Falls School District and sixth grade in Delano Public Schools. She retired in 1978. She married Oliver Lindholm on June 13, 1942, in Delano. He died Feb. 17. After retiring, she and her husband moved to Lake Shore. On Aug. 1, 2001, the couple moved to Brainerd. She was a member of the Ladies Aid, choir and DMLC Auxiliary at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. She was active in the Dorcas Society, altar committee and choir at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baxter.

Survivors include two sons, Oliver Lindholm, McFarland, Wis., and Joel Lindholm, Delano; one daughter, Judith Gurgel, Appleton, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Pauling, Cambridge.

Her husband and a brother, Gerald Johnson, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Arthur Frenz officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until services Friday at the church. Memorials are preferred to Christ Lutheran Church.
