BAXTER -- Future Highway 210 intersections were discussed at Tuesday's Baxter City Council meeting.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is studying the Highway 210 corridor between Baxter and Motley.
Possible road crossings could include the Potlatch land intersection in west Baxter, Memorywood and Inglewood drive.
The council will discuss its recommendations to MnDOT at a workshop at 5:15 p.m. June 12. MnDOT will conduct a public hearing on the corridor plan at 7 p.m. June 18 at Pillager High School.
In other action, the council:
Set a workshop to discuss the park plan for 5:15 p.m. June 12.
Set a workshop for 5:30 p.m. June 27 to discuss the Clearwater/Inglewood Drive improvement project.
Set a public hearing for the Clearwater/Inglewood Drive improvement project at 6 p.m. July 30.
Set a public hearing for the Excelsior Road West improvement project for 7:30 p.m. July 16.
Approved the hiring of Douglas Schultz for the engineering technician position at $15.26 per hour.
Approved the preliminary plat for the second phase of the Shanandoah Office Park located south of Home Depot.
Introduced LouAnn Maschlen, the city's new building/zoning inspector.
Accepted $500 donation from Reliant Energy to the Baxter Police Department for the purchase of flashlights.
Approved plans and specifications with 100 percent petition for improvements to the Jacklitch Estates development.
Approved a proposal from Widseth, Smith and Nolting architecture and engineering firm for the second phase of the hydrogeologic study at a cost of $19,000 from the water availability fund.
Accepted the WSN proposal for only a feasibility study and hearing for the Clearwater Road commercial section at a cost not to exceed $4,500.
Approve a change order of $429,174 to Erin Contracting, bringing the total contract to $1,206,608, for the
Approve the feasibility study from WSN for the Excelsior Road improvement from Inglewood Drive to Cherrywood Drive in the amount of $163,480.
