A deputy Sunday located a man at Crow Wing County Highway 18 and County Highway 4 who was lost looking for his way back to Breezy Point Resort. The deputy gave the man a ride back to the resort.

Douglas Dirk Saturday reported being stranded on a lake and requested assistance from the water patrol but called back and canceled after making other arrangements to get to shore.
A Saturday call reported a pontoon floating in the middle of Nisswa Lake. The pontoon was located and secured and the owner contacted. A second call on Saturday reported a canoe adrift in Gilbert Lake, the owner was contacted and advised about the canoe and its expired registration.
Deputies Saturday responded to County Highway 3 to a report that a man was shooting his dogs with a handgun. A loaded revolver was taken from the man who admitted he was suicidal. The man was transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center.
Heard a noise complaint about revving engines Saturday on County Highway 45 and found it related to an individual working on a stock car. Loud mowing was reported Saturday at Clow Stamping with a complaint that it begins at 5 a.m. The Clow supervisor said the issue will be addressed. Loud music was reported Saturday at a residence on 6100 block of Estate Circle Drive. The resident was advised to turn the music down and did.
Raydene Hammerberg, 9300 block of Strawberry Lake Road, Saturday reported a dog chased her daughter on May 18. Friday Trainbell Resort, Merrifield, reported a guest was bitten by a dog while walking on a trail. A search did not find the brownish red dog. Animal control was contacted.
A woman, 9000 block of Estate Circle, called Saturday requesting her daughter be removed because she wasn't listening. The daughter had left before the deputy arrived at the scene and the mother later listed the daughter as a runaway.

Assisted Breezy Point Police Department with a fight Saturday at the 9200 block of Breezy Point Drive. Assisted the Brainerd Police Department with a disturbance Saturday at the 400 block of Fifth Street North.
Rachel Polson, 6500 block of Ojibwa Road, reported a neighbor was dumping brush and storm material on the public easement in Unorganized Territory. The suspect agreed to move the brush and material.
Kathleen Pike, Pequot Lakes, reported someone was shining a light in her windows and tried to turn the door knob.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE - A deputy serving papers assisted a boy who had his pant leg caught in a bike chain and wheel and had to cut the boy's pants to free him from the wheel.
THEFTS - Several thefts were reported Monday on the 600 block of James Street. Ryan Pourrier reported a theft of four CDs from a vehicle. Lisa Clark reported theft of a CD player from an unlocked vehicle. Keri Self reported hearing someone enter her residence and take car keys and attempt to gain entry to the vehicle. Robert Gallagher reported someone went through an unlocked truck but nothing was missing.
Holiday Station, 400 block of South Sixth Street, Monday reported a gas drive-off by the driver of a brown or gold Town Car.
The owners of two vehicles impounded over the weekend at West Brainerd Amoco on Washington Street reported vehicle thefts Monday. One unlocked vehicle was missing amps and speakers worth about $3,000 and 1,000 CDs. Another vehicle was missing an amp and CDs. Several other vehicles had been gone through at the impound lot.

INVESTIGATIONS - Gust Akkanen reported a possible prowler in an apartment complex garage and officers contacted the male inside who was a garage renter and discovered he was living inside the garage.
Officers responded to an alarm at the 200 block of Hawkins Drive to find a door open. The homeowner advised to leave the door open as the dog had escaped. A check back found the dog had returned home.
Kristofer Anderson Sunday reported finding a bag of drug paraphernalia during ditch cleaning on Oakridge Road. Officers picked up the bag and destroyed the contents.

Daniel Krump, 1100 block of Third Avenue Northeast, Saturday reported finding suspicious bones while looking for nightcrawlers near the river landing. The bones were found to be deer bones.
Hershel Templeton wanted a person removed from a residence because they were arguing about beer.
Investigated a report of children on a raft in the Mississippi River near Tyrol Hills. They were teenagers floating to Boom Lake and Kiwanis Park. Officers made contact with the raft because of an approaching storm Saturday and transported the teenagers home.
At traffic stops Saturday on South Sixth Street arrested a man for fourth-degree DWI and a woman for fourth-degree DWI and in the 1200 block of Oak Street arrested a man for third-degree DWI.
Arrested a male for disorderly conduct Friday following a fight in front of the Pit Stop Bar on Laurel Street.
ASSAULT - Arrested a male for second-degree assault and terroristic threats for threatening a 15-year-old girl. The male had a knife in his pocket.
