PHOENIX -- Elda Johnson, 84, Phoenix, and formerly of Pine River, died March 1, 2001, at St. Luke's Hospital in Phoenix.
She was born Aug. 29, 1916, in New Salem, N.D., to Fruedolin and Lydia Krieger.
Survivors include two sons, Victor Johnson, Los Angeles, and Ivan Avenbach, Pine River; three daughters, Ines Johnson, Melba Wickware and Ida Moore, all of Phoenix; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Hilda Visnovec, Pine River, and Esther Becker, Westminster, Ill.
Her husband, Axel; two sisters, Minnie Visnovec and Helen Pohl; and a brother, Frank Krieger, died earlier.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Hill Cemetery near Pine River with Pastor James St. Marie officiating.
Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home in Pine River.
