Thompson named section coach of year

Brainerd Warrior boys' tennis coach Bruce Thompson has been named Section 8-2A boys' tennis coach of the year.
This spring Thompson guided the Warriors to a 10-1 record in conference play, 16-2 overall. Brainerd won the first conference championship in program history and finished second in Section 8-2A.
Games at Pierz postponed
Section 5-1A baseball games that were scheduled at Pierz on Monday were postponed by rain.
Games will begin at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
