Open Forum
As a graduate with the Class of 2008, I would like to apologize to the community for the rudeness of my fellow classmates. Their actions do not represent those of the entire class. I personally felt embarrassed and disgusted sitting with them as respected adults tell us of our accomplishments.

Separating fact from fiction
WASHINGTON -As dramatic as the contests have been for the Democratic and Republican presidential nominations, they have not been enough to satisfy the myth-makers. With the general election imminent, the fiction writers in both parties insist on versions of the battle that bear little resemblance to reality.

OUR OPINION: GRADUATION
Advice to graduates is usually reserved for commencement day but here's our premature and unsolicited advice to the Brainerd High School graduates of 2009 - Show your true class and be the graduates who end the distressing trend of misbehavior at Brainerd High School's graduation ceremonies.

It is time to bring Vox Pop to an end. Last week's disheartening attacks on our city council president, Kelly Bevans and the ridiculous words against Walleyedan Eigen and Superintendent Steve Razidlo the weeks before are nothing short of character assassination.

What do you think?
The Brainerd Dispatch welcomes letters on recent articles and current issues. Letters should include the writer's full name, city and a phone number (for verification only). Letters are limited to 300 words. Only one letter per person per week.

VOX POP
If (the recent Open Forum writer) does not agree with all the opinions expressed in Vox Pop, he thinks it should be canceled. Shame on you. The last I heard we still have freedom of the press in this country. Your friends are all in very public positions and as such are open to public criticism anytime and anywhere. Harry Truman said it best, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!"
