PILLAGER - Robert "Bob" LeRoy Loucks Sr., 78, of Pillager, passed away at his home on Monday, May 31, 2010. Services for Bob will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 4, at First Baptist Church in Pillager with Pastor Bob Osell officiating. Friends are welcome to visit Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Interment will take place at Wildwood Cemetery.

Bob was born Jan. 2, 1932, in St. Paul, the son of LeRoy and Iva (Hannahs) Loucks. After graduating from high school, Bob married Joan Phillips in 1960. He worked in Sartell for 29 years at the paper mill which was owned by several companies: St. Regis Paper Co., Champion Paper and IP Co. Since 1996, Bob and Joan spent their winters in Arizona. Bob was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Pillager and co-founded the Post Polio Brainerd Baxter Chapter as a result of contracting polio at the age of 17. Bob loved to tell jokes and share a story. He enjoyed woodworking, softball, fishing, hunting, horseshoes and playing a round of golf. Bob loved his Lord.
He will be missed by his wife, Joan; his children, Vicki Lynn (Pat) Noble, of Pillager, Robert LeRoy Loucks Jr., of St. Cloud, Dennis Dean (Lynnie) Loucks, of Pillager, and Timothy Troy (Kristin) Loucks, of St. Cloud; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Donna Mae (Vivian) Griffith, of Deer Creek. He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy; his mother, Iva Davidson; his stepfather, Virgil Davidson; and his grandparents.
