Brainerd Jaycees win several state awards

The Brainerd Jaycees received several awards at the Minnesota Jaycees Spring All State Convention.

Rick Cole was inducted into the Hall of Leadership, recognizing past Jaycees that have excelled in public service after their Jaycees career. Jerry Swanson received the Statesman Award, recognizing the outstanding efforts of a Jaycee on the local or state level for extraordinary dedication to the Jaycees movement. The award is the state's highest.

The chapter received the Silver Community Development Project of the trimester for the $150,000 Ice Fishing Extravaganza and the extravaganza kickoff party received the Gold Management Project of the trimester. Individuals receiving awards included Shane and Carissa Meyer, Julie Sedlachek, Sarah Stenerson and Cori Wrobel.
