Thompson wins at Golden Spike

SAUK RAPIDS -- Brainerd's John Thompson posted a clean sweep in the Wissota Midwest Modified feature Sunday at Golden Spike Speedway by winning his heat race and the main feature.

Snyder finishes 13th

ODESSA, Mo., -- Ironton's Trent Snyder raced his Chevy Monte Carlo to a 13th-place finish in the 100-lap Late Model feature Saturday in the Midwest All-Star Series season opener at the one-half mile paved I-70 Speedway.

Snyder qualified 12th and was running ninth in the feature until he was involved in a restart accident. His car suffered suspension damage and ended his night with 28 laps left.

Moran wins challenge

SABIN -- Stephen Moran won the Jr. Dragster Challenge last weekend at the one eighth-mile Interstate Dragways.

He posted times of 8.93, 8.94, 8.94 and 8.96. His top speed was 73.17 mph in his methanol alcohol burning dragster.

Dondelinger finishes 18th

SAUK CENTRE -- Brainerd's D.J. Dondelinger finished 18th in the ASA Super Late Model 40-lap feature at I-94 Raceway after placing third in his heat race Sunday.

Cal Lease of Little Falls finished eighth in his Great North Legends heat race but did not finish the feature.
