NHRA Federal Mogul facts

WHAT: The Colonel's Truck Accessories Challenge, a round of the NHRA Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series, where drivers earn points leading to divisional and national championships. Categories include: Federal-Mogul Dragster, Federal-Mogul Funny Car, Competition, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street. The event is the second of six in West Central Division competition.

WHERE: The Colonel's Brainerd International Raceway & Resort, Brainerd, Minn. Track is located at 4343 Highway 371 North in Brainerd.

WHEN: Friday through Sunday, June 8-10.

SCHEDULE: Time trials and qualifying schedule for the Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series:

FRIDAY, June 8 -- Gates open at 7 a.m. Qualifying and time trials begin at 9 a.m. Federal-Mogul Dragster and Federal-Mogul Funny Car qualifying sessions are scheduled at 4 p.m.

SATURDAY, June 9 -- Gates open at 7 a.m. Final qualifying and time trials are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Federal-Mogul Dragster and Federal-Mogul Funny Car qualifying sessions are scheduled at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday will also feature a fireworks show and live entertainment.

SUNDAY, June 10 -- Gates open at 7 a.m. Eliminations begin at 9 a.m. Eliminations for Federal-Mogul Dragster and Federal-Mogul Funny Car begin at noon.

PURSE: The NHRA Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series competitors will compete for cash and contingency awards of $148,495, part of the 43-race, $6.5 million series.

FEATURES: More than 400 drivers in the eight racing categories. Eight-car fields in Federal-Mogul Dragster and Federal-Mogul Funny Car, featuring five-second, 250 mph side-by-side racing.

GENERAL ADMISSION/PIT PASS Advance sale tickets are $50 for a Friday-Sunday pass; $40 for a Saturday-Sunday pass; and $20 for a Sunday-only pass. At the gate, tickets are $60 for a Friday-Sunday pass; $45 for a Saturday-Sunday pass; and $25 for a Sunday-only pass.

Jr. Admission, for children 6-12, is $25 for a Friday-Sunday pass; $20 for a Saturday-Sunday pass; and $10 for a Sunday-only pass in advance, and $30, $22.50 and $12.50 at the gate. Children 5 and under are admitted free with a paid adult

Camping is $10 Thursday night, $20 Friday and Saturday nights, and $10 Saturday night only.
