Fort loses first game of season

FORT RIPLEY - Opole edged Fort Ripley 6-5 on Sunday, handing the Rebels their first loss of the year, in Victory League amateur baseball.
The win was Opole's sixth straight. Jake Eichten pitched all nine innings for the win, striking out three.
Curt Veith hit a two-run homer for the Rebels. Austin Schmolke was 2-5, Jason Sather was 2-3 and Ray Austin 2-4.
