Veterans, like Jesus, gave their lives

We, the veterans, love Memorial Day!

We like to remind ourselves and you of the great sacrifice that many veterans made over the years so the rest of us could enjoy the freedom we too often take for granted.

This truth runs closely parallel with what Jesus did for us. He, like a Lamb to the slaughter, gave his very human life that we might enjoy the freedom from all our sins: past, present and future.

And all we need to do is confess and believe; 1 John 1:9 and Rom. 10:9. Now, here's more wonderful new. Someday, soon, there will be real peace. Check it out for yourself in Isaiah 9:6-7. Vs.6. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government will be upon his shoulders and His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Vs.7. "Of the increase of his government and peace there will be of no end."

Then top that off with Isaiah 2:4, "They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore."

There's our answer, there will be no peace until Jesus returns.
