Brainerd firefighters respond to calls

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to multiple calls in recent days, including a call about a dryer fire on Bon Arbor Lane at 4:33 p.m. Thursday. The fire was under control when firefighters arrived.

Firefighters also responded to a small grass fire in the median by Kohl's in Baxter at 9:20 p.m. Thursday. No significant damage was reported.

On Friday, firefighters responded at 6:36 p.m. to a vehicle fire on Highway 371 North. It was reported that the fire was extinguished before firefighters arrived. Firefighters also were called at 7:57 p.m. Friday to Brainerd Regional Human Services Center Building No. 22 for what turned out to be a false alarm.

At 2:53 a.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a small structure fire at 2749 Chippewa Shores Road. No further information was available Saturday.
