Cards end regular season with loss

GLENWOOD -- Minnewaska nipped the Staples-Motley Cardinals baseball team 5-4 in the final game of the regular season Thursday.

Justin Richards hit a three-run homer in the second inning and Adam Johnson added a solo shot in the seventh for the Cardinals.

WP-Joe Heidelberg. LP-Tyler Crawford. Next game-SM vs. West Central/Minnewaska winner 5 p.m. Thursday at Morris in semifinals of Subsection 19, Section 6, Class 2A tournament.

Bemidji 4, Little Falls 0

BEMIDJI -- Jake Kluver grabbed the Little Falls Flyers lone hit in a 4-0 North Subsection 8, Class 3A playoff loss to Bemidji Friday.

The Flyers ended the season 5-14.
