MUCH OBLIGED

I would like to express my appreciation to all those who took part in the Brainerd Warrior Baseball Alumni Day on May 14. The entire concept was the brain-child of Dan Anderson, class of 1992. He enlisted help from Ray Austin, Mike Bialka, John Backlund and Colin MacDonald and things started to take shape. All in all, it was a special day for me, and I hope, for everyone involved.

With the help of many donated items from Shon Roberts of GLS, Dave Rozinka of M J's, Marty Hill, Hal Swanson of Bernick's Beverage, Kathy Sullivan and Todd Selk, it was a very successful day.

A special thanks to all of the more than 70 Brainerd Baseball alumni who attended. It was especially fun to see so many in attendance who played high school baseball before I came to Brainerd. Each and every one of you is an important part of our baseball history and tradition.

March for Babies

Thank you Brainerd and Brainerd Lakes Health!

Our annual March for Babies was held on May 2 at Central Lakes College.

We had tremendous support from so many people in the community who helped us surpass our goal and raise nearly $30,000 to help achieve our mission of every baby being born healthy.

Brainerd Lakes Health provided major event sponsorship and a great level of support with 30 walkers.

Cindy, Wes and little Ella Otremba were very gracious and helpful as our 2009 Ambassador family.

We are so impressed by the level of support and commitment Brainerd demonstrates to help moms and babies.

Thank for your great support and helping the March of Dimes help babies.
