RANDALL -- The Brainerd Braves connected for six home runs Sunday, including four in succession, as they easily upended Randall 15-2 in Victory League amateur baseball.
Nic Hanson, Ryan Thiesse, Chris Studer and Jade O'Brien hit consecutive solo home runs in the eighth to spark Brainerd to victory.
Hanson and Studer each had two of the long bombs for the Braves and Jason King hit one for Randall. O'Brien finished 4-for-4 while Hanson, Studer and Nick Weiland all had three hits.
Luke Weiland earned the win on the mound for the Braves, throwing four innings and allowing only two earned runs.

BUCKMAN -- Former Central Lakes College standout Reggie Litke threw 8 1/3 innings to earn his first win with Lastrup Monday as the Silverspurs beat the Buckman Billygoats 8-5.
Litke struck out nine batters and walked three. Sev Poser pitched the final 2/3 of an inning to pick up the save.
Donavon Daiker was 3-for-4 with two RBI to lead the Spurs, while Dave Woitalla and Scott Geiger each hit home runs for the Billygoats.

FORT RIPLEY -- Fort Ripley kept the Randall Cubs winless Monday with a 15-5 victory.
Tony Veith was 4-for-4 with a grand slam to lead the Rebels while Neil Sather was 3-for-5 and Curt Veith was 3-for-4 with four runs scored.
Bobby Sanders and Chuck Strack were each 2-for-4 to lead Randall.

OPOLE -- The Pierz Brewers recorded 17 hits Monday en route to an easy 18-5 win over Opole.
Chad Tomala pitched four innings and allowed only four hits as he earned the victory. Jason Sadlovsky was 1-for-3 with a home run for the Brewers, while Alvin Kimman went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Holdingford 9, Pierz Bulldogs 7
PIERZ -- Joel Swenson struck out 15 batters in a complete-game victory Monday as he led Holdingford to a 9-7 win over the Pierz Bulldogs 9-7.
Mitch Becker was 3-for-5 with two home runs to lead the Bulldogs, while Dan Rocheleau was 2-for-4 with a double. Kevin Hoppe collected three hits for Holdingford.

Long Prairie 5, St. Mathias 2
LONG PRAIRIE -- Long Prairie exploded for three runs in the bottom of the 10th inning Monday as it squeaked past St. Mathias 5-2.
The Saints committed three errors in the final inning.
Justin Bundy picked up three hits for St. Mathias. Shawn Zinner pitched a 10-inning, five-hitter for Long Prairie.

PIERZ -- The Pierz Brewers scored a run in the bottom of the 10th inning Sunday as they slipped past St. Wendel 3-2.
Chad Tomala pitched the 10th inning and earned the win in relief of starter Scott Kimman. Keith Streit struck out nine batters in the loss.
Shawn Fischer was 2-for-5 with the game-winning RBI for the Brewers, while Bob Pohlkamp and Joe Tautges each had two hits. Nate Huls was 4-for-5 with a double to lead St. Wendel.

HOLDINGFORD -- Mark Cekalla hit a three-run homer Sunday to carry the Buckman Billygoats to victory over Holdingford 6-3.
Pete Herman was 1-for-3 with a double and RBI for the Billygoats, while Paul Bruns and Kevin Hoppe each had two hits for Holdingford.

SWANVILLE -- The Fort Ripley Rebels pounded out 21 hits Sunday en route to a 19-12 victory over the Swanville Heat.
Neil Sather had two home runs for Fort Ripley and Adam Hardy added another. Nate Heim pitched struck out six batters in six innings and earned the win.
